Lake Tahoe Basin Early College

One of GOAL’s current initiatives is to facilitate an Early College within an existing high school in the Tahoe Basin. 

We are currently funding a feasibility study to determine how an Early College will help the most students possible within the given budget. We are at the beginning phases of starting this school, working on issues such as mission statement, location, scheduling, and building Memorandums of Understanding with colleges. We are currently focusing on developing one specific school, but we hope that school will serve as a model for other schools, creating a ripple effect of positive change within education more broadly. We are working very hard on this, and welcome thoughts and ideas from the community!
