Our Story

The core belief behind the GOAL Foundation is that the biggest luxury one has is the ability to give.

When we think about doing the following things, we ask ourselves who is really receiving the gift?

• Helping a friend by truly listening in a non-judgmental way
• Inspiring someone to achieve a goal
• Working together with someone to make someone else happy
• Providing funding to help someone do something great

Our philosophy is that giving in fact provides happiness to both the “giver” and the “receiver,” so why not consciously incorporate giving in our lives whenever possible?

Also note that only one of these examples of giving involves money, which is why we believe an important component to giving is the giving of time. Therefore, we want to leverage our money we with our time to create the biggest effect, both for us and for the people we are giving to. Furthermore, we realize that with many charitable organizations there is a disproportionate amount of money going to overhead, salaries, etc. In contrast, we are determined to operate the GOAL Foundation efficiently, with almost 100% going to the intended recipients. This is why we do not take any salary for the work that we do.

As our talents, passions, and communities change over the course of our lives, we want an organization with a mission statement broad enough to change too. Hence the GOAL Foundation was broadly established for “Giving Opportunities for Advancement in Life.”

We continue to seek out new opportunities to give back to the community. Our goal is not just to provide financial support, but to also create lasting positive impacts on individuals and communities.
